Peppino D'Agostino
(United States/Italy)
Peppino D'Agostino is one of the world's greatest contemporary acoustic guitarists. The American Guitar Player Magazine rated him among the 50 best acoustic guitarists of all time, and the readers of the Acoustic Guitar Magazine ranked his album ‘Every Step of The Way’ as the 3rd best acoustic album of all time. He has performed in more than 35 countries and collaborated with the most eminent musicians. His works are published by the world’s most prestigious publishing houses, and his Seagull signature guitar has been voted among the ten best signature guitars by the readers of the Guitar Player Magazine, while influential media and colleagues consider him one of the most important composers in the world of acoustic guitar.
Dik Banovich
(United States)
Growing up in Chicago in the 1960s, Dik Banovich was influenced from an early age by blues, swing and other styles of American guitar music. For 50 years he has been playing his blend of acoustic roots & blues music at concerts and festivals in Europe, the United States and even West Africa. His style is based on traditional acoustic blues drawn from the deepest roots of the Delta, but also on swing, ragtime, Americana, and folk blues. He has collaborated with or supported stars such as James Brown, Green, the Paul Jones Blues Band, Paul Lamb and the King Snakes, Ana Popović and others.
Igor Leonardi
(Slovenia)
Igor Leonardi studied at the Department of Jazz and Classical Guitar at the Music Academy in Graz.
He travelled to Asia and Africa, where he perfected his ethnic musical skills on various string instruments. From 1989 to 1999, he lived and worked in the USA, where he studied with the internationally renowned musician Don Cherry. Along with other famous jazz musicians, he also worked with members of the rock group Metallica. He has performed at many international jazz festivals (San Francisco, New York, Houston, Zurich, Prague, Ljubljana, Istanbul etc.). For several years he was employed in Oakland, California as a specialist in world (ethnic) music.
He has composed stage music for about 200 theatre plays and is also involved in film music: in 2003, at the Slovenian Film Festival in Celje, he received the award for the best music for the film 'Spare Parts' (Rezervni deli). For Slovenian Radio-Television he recorded 100 shows of the youth series 'Muzikajeto', which won the Popularity Viktor award in 2010.
Since 1998 she has been a permanent member of the band Fake Orchestra, one of the pioneers of adaptations of Slovenian folk songs into more modern forms. Setting poetry to music, both for adults and children, is a constant in her work.
With guitarist Igor Leonardi she performs folk songs from around the world and jazz standards by Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone and Abbey Lincoln. Ana sings in 17 languages.
One of the most important Croatian playwrights, Mate Matišić composed film music for all five of Vinko Brešan’s feature films, winning the Golden Arena for the best film score for two of them: 'Marshal Tito's Spirit' in 2000 and "Witnesses" in 2003. He won his third Golden Arena for the best film score for "No One's Son" in 2008. In addition to film, he has composed music for theatre and television.
He also writes film scripts, receiving several significant awards at international festivals. Matišić is a multi-instrumentalist and a member of Hot Club Zagreb, a jazz band with international experience. His long-standing interest is the music of Django Reinhardt, which has been the subject of his research for more than two decades.
Bruno Mičetić
(Croatia)
Bruno Mičetić is a musician whose musical horizons are unusually wide: from jazz (he graduated from the Klagenfurt Jazz Conservatory, released several albums in various formations and has collaborated with eminent jazz musicians) through the now international activities of the rock band Keops to the guitar music from his new project "Guitars’ Dialogue", a selection of which he will perform on solo acoustic guitar at this year’s BIG festival. He is one of the busiest Croatian jazz (and not only jazz!) musicians, and has also collaborated with famous Croatian and international artists (such as Tereza Kesovija, Rajko Dujmić, Zrinko Tutić, Zvjezdan Ružić, Primož Grašič and Ratko Divjak).
Jed Becker's Group
(Croatia)
Jed Becker's Group is a blues-rock attraction that offers first-class entertainment and guarantees a good time. The musicians who make up this trio belong to the crème de la crème of the Croatian music scene. Drummer Tonči Grabušić has collaborated and performed with more musicians than can fit in standard promotional materials, including Boško Petrović, Arsen Dedić, Gabi Novak, Neno Belan, Elvis Stanić, Gibonni, Zoran Predin and many others.
Bassist Damjan Grbac is the author of GIIPUJA, one of the most original projects of the Croatian jazz scene, and the artistic director of Jazz Time, the longest-running Croatian jazz festival. He has collaborated with numerous well-known pop-rock musicians such as Zorica Kondža, Vinko Coce, Severina, Mario Battifiaca, Radojka Šverko, Ivo Gamulin Gianni, and Denis & Denis.
The band’s leader and moving spirit is Emir Grozdanić, a blues lover and guitarist with refined taste, who was the author and producer of the band’s debut album, which drew on his vast experience working as a studio musician, arranger and producer both on his own projects and with numerous other Croatian and international musicians.
Elvis Stanić is one of the foremost contemporary Croatian guitarists and accordionists and the most-awarded jazz composer of his generation. As a freelance guitarist and producer, he has collaborated with the most important jazz musicians in Croatia and the world.
Nicolas Kurelic
(Croatia)
Nicolas Kurelic is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Rijeka, with thousands of hours of experience on stage and in the studio with renowned musicians such as Tedi Spalato, Šajeta, Alen Vitasović and the group E.N.I. A special place in his musical development is occupied by guitar virtuosos and composers such as Tommy Emmanuel and Joe Satriani, whom he greatly appreciates as musicians, and who have been a great artistic support for him on his long musical journey.
Lately, Nicolas Kurelić has been releasing music for the Dancing Bear Records label and performing all over Croatia, continuing his musical journey with his trio or as a solo guitarist and singer. In addition to original compositions, he also performs his own arrangements of well-known rock standards.

After the concerts are over, the fun continues at the after parties! This year, the evenings will be extended with an exciting after program where visitors will be able to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, top music and refreshing drinks.
Igor Leonardi, known for his ethnic musical skills and collaborations with musical legends, and Ana Vipotnik, an outstanding performer of folk songs and jazz standards, will join the after program with incredible performances. This duo brings a touch of the world music scene and will provide you with unforgettable moments.
The second evening of the after program will be particularly interesting because it includes the promotion of Damir Halilić Hal's video album "6&12 (BONUS 9)". This project includes more than 40 video clips, and the audience will have the opportunity to see Hal's incredible technical and artistic skills on 6 and 12 strings. The album will be officially released before Christmas, making this event an exclusive opportunity to get a first look at the unique music release.
To make the evening even more pleasant, visitors will be able to enjoy the offers of the KuSshh bar, which brings the tastes and smells of the Mediterranean from the island of Krk. Exhibition of Guitars and Musical Instruments
The exhibition of guitars and musical instruments from Luciano Vrban’s collection presents a unique cross-section of instruments that have shaped different eras and musical genres. Visitors will have the opportunity to view electric, acoustic, and bass guitars by renowned international manufacturers such as Fender, Gibson, Rickenbacker, Ovation, Epiphone, and Warwick, as well as instruments that Luciano Vrban has restored or crafted with his own hands. Many of them carry fascinating stories – they have been played in professional studios, used in concerts and album recordings, and connected with prominent Croatian and international musicians. The exhibition is therefore not merely a display of valuable instruments, but also a journey through music history, told through their owners, performers, and sound.
